Workshop schedule and online presentations now available here.

This workshop emphasized three main areas of research in ensemble forecasting:

Facilities and Costs:  The Far Hills Inn is has gotten rave reviews by Cyclone workshop participants.  It's isolated but nearby to a small ski village.   The isolated hotel has 69 rooms and 110 beds.  The expected cost per person would be $108 Canadian per night in a double room, $148 in a single and includes meals,  even the dinner the night you arrive.   Note that the majority of hotel rooms are double-occupancy; we encourage you to find a roommate and book a room together.

We expect to charge a fee of approximately $50 to cover refreshments and the rental of the facility.   We will provide a projector for transparencies, screens, microphones, pointers, and a display projector for computers.  Computers can be connected to the internet.  If you have a computer-based presentation, bring your own computer, please.  If you have other needs, please contact us and we will see what we can do.

Transportation:  The Montréal airport is an hour south of the hotel.  The Far Hills Inn can suggest transportation alternatives if you cannot rent a car.

Hotel reservations:   You will need to make your own reservations with the Far Hills Inn.  To make reservations, contact information is here. (page down to "Contact Us" and make sure you indicate that you are taking part in the workshop). Other accomodations in the nearby area can be found here.

Timing: The workshop is being convened from Thursday morning through Saturday the week before the Cyclone workshop and at the same location.  Hopefully, participants may attend both meetings if they wish with a minimum of inconvenience.
