GFDL University Consortium
Web access to GFDL datasets is currently not available. The data that
was lost in a hardware failure was somewhat antiquated and we are taking
time to investigate putting newer model runs from GFDL online or perhaps
waiting for the next generation model runs from GFDL to become available.
If you need further information, feel free to email cdc.gfdlatlas@noaa.gov

CDC Participation in the GFDL-University Consortium

The GFDL-University Consortium began in 1990 as a collaborative effort between the
Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Lab (GFDL), other
NOAA centers including the
Climate Diagnostics Center, and several
universities. The purpose of the consortium is to design and analyze a
series of general circulation model (GCM) simulations to increase the understanding
of the maintenance of regional climates and the atmospheric response to
sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies and other perturbations in the lower
boundary.
