One-line description: CDDB (Climate Diagnostics Data Base)
Detailed description: The Climate Diagnostics Data Base was produced by the Climate Analysis Center based on data obtained from the National Meteorological Center's final global optimum interpolation analysis. The CDDB archive contains monthly means of grid point analyses of six basic meteorological variables, their mean squares, and a number of cross products for up to nine levels in the atmosphere.
Please note: If you acquire CDDB data products from PSD, we ask that you acknowledge us in your use of the data. This may be done by including text such as CDDB data provided by the NOAA/OAR/ESRL PSD, Boulder, Colorado, USA, from their Web site at http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/ in any documents or publications using these data. We would also appreciate receiving a copy of the relevant publications. This will help PSD to justify keeping the CDDB data set freely available online in the future. Thank you!

Levels:
Southern hemisphere for omega and omega product data through 5/82. Specific humidity data and the associated covariances are missing before March 1992, due to an uncorrectable error in the calculation of the variable at CAC.
